Nupur Kaul, the founder of The Mind Studio was a former National skater and International lawn tennis player and was one of the top 10 ranked players in India in the women’s category.
She is one of the few psychologists in India who has a double master’s degree; MSc in Sport & Exercise psychology and MA in Industrial & Organizational psychology. She has also completed her Level 1 in Basic Integrated Clinical Hypnotherapy. She is also a certified trainer in Rational Emotive Behaviour therapy (REBT), Cognitive Behaviour therapy (CBT) and Arts therapy.
Her passion for sports and the need gap in the psychological aspect of the sporting field drove her to pursue her career as a Sport and Exercise Psychologist.
ABOUT THE FOUNDER
An athlete requires a holistic 360-degree approach by combining the physical, technical, tactical and psychological components. Since an athlete doesn’t enter a competition empty-minded, they don’t perform during the competition without thinking, it is important to include mental fitness into their training programmes.
The Mind Studio focuses on increasing the psychological strength of athletes and assisting them to reach their true potential and maximize their sporting performance.
We believe in a holistic approach and therefore also meet parents, coaches and other sporting staff at regular intervals since they form an integral part of the athletes’ team. Keeping in mind the hectic match schedule of athletes, we also conduct continuous online and phone sessions with athletes to follow up on their psychological well-being.
The Mind Studio aims to promote sports psychology from a wellness view rather than only an illness view.
